• How do I audition for Hammerkatz?​

  • ​​​Hammerkatz will be holding open auditions during the first weeks of school in September! Everyone in Hammerkatz joins as a writer and performer. The audition consists of two parts: a performance audition and a submitted writing sample. Here is a link to the 2023 Audition form.

• When/where does Hammerkatz perform?

  • Hammerkatz performs new original shows every month in the Shorin Performance Center, located on the 8th floor of NYU’s Kimmel Student Center. There are (normally) two chances to catch us, at 8pm and 10pm. All are welcome! Hammerkatz also performs throughout the year at comedy venues around NYC.

 

• Where can I find the most up-to-date information about shows, events, and auditions?

  • Follow us on Instagram for the most up-to-date information about all shows and events. You can also find information in the “Shows” section of this site that you’re on right now!

• How often does Hammerkatz meet?

  • Hammerkatz has writers meetings once a week throughout the semester. We also hold rehearsals Monday-Friday the week before a show.​

• Where is your bathroom?

  • We are not a building. This question doesn’t really apply to us.​

​

• Is this Lafayette Street?

  • No, this is Broadway. Lafayette is one block over.
